On the eve of a big week’s selling at the Magic Millions Sales Complex on the Gold Coast, the following information and updates are provided in regards to the Patinack Farm Unreserved Broodmare and Racing Stock Reduction Sales.
PATINACK FARM UNRESERVED BROODMARE SALE
Next week’s Patinack Farm Unreserved Reduction Sale has attracted a quality catalogue of approximately 200 lots – all of which will be offered without reserve.
Mares catalogued are by sires including Canny Lad, Danzero, Distorted Humor, Elusive Quality, Encosta de Lago, Fantastic Light, Fastnet Rock, Flying Spur, General Nediym, Green Desert, Marscay, More Than Ready, Octagonal, O’Reilly, Peintre Celebre, Pins, Quest for Fame, Red Ransom, Rory’s Jester, Royal Academy, Snippets, Star Way, Stravinsky, Tale of the Cat and Zabeel.
Many of the mares are closely related to some of the country’s and world’s best racehorses. Among them are half relations to Group One winners including Barkada, Bel Mer, Belle Du Jour, Calaway Gal, Crawl, Fine Society, General Nediym, I Believe in You, In Top Swing, Juice, Mossman, Saleous, Solvit and Veandercross.
Buyers looking for a quality race performed mare should consider the black type achievers including Another Misty, Serein, Shaye Spice, Shine Bridge, Timeless Miss and Vereza while also set to go under the hammer are the dams of stakes performers including Morgan Dollar, Rock Classic, Rocker and The Counterfeiter.

Due to a number of mares foaling around the time of the broodmare sale on Sunday – a small group of mares will not be at the complex when they are sold. The mares are available for inspection by appointment at Patinack Farm’s Canungra property on Saturday, Sunday and Monday at 10am and 2pm by contacting Paul Knight on 0410 683 469 or Joe Heather on 0413 712 465.
The mares that will be off-complex and available for viewing at Canungra are as follows: Lots 515 (Automate), 518 (Bab Al Shams), 528 (Brittansky), 535 (Chateau Le Teur), 537 (Cool Cinders), 545 (Decorate), 565 (Gifting), 578 (Involare), 603 (Manhatten Transfer), 618 (Miss Jinx), 624 (Moulds), 630 (Not Fuhr Nothin), 656 (Pottery), 666 (Ransom Claim), 672 (Salinger) and 690 (Star of Athena).
Prospective buyers are advised that the following transferable free returns apply:
* Patinack Farm will honour all free returns to mares that are sold in foal to their 2011 coverings, and should the mare slip her foal, or the foal is born dead, or does not stand and suckle within 24 hours of birth, the purchaser can send the mare back to that Patinack Farm stallion (or should the stallion have died, been sold or exported a Patinack Farm stallion of equivalent value)
* Patinack Farm will honour all free returns to mares that are sold in foa/holding service to their 2012 coverings, and should the mare slip and or mill, or the foal is born dead, or does not stand and suckle within 24 hours of birth, the purchase can send the mare back to the Patinack Farm stallion (or should the stallion have died, been sold or exported a Patinack Farm stallion of equivalent value)
NATIONAL RACEHORSE SALE
Around 100 lots have been consigned by Patinack Farm for another unreserved reduction draft in the National Racehorse Sale on November 2.
A large number of unraced and well related two and three-year-olds will be joined by a top line up of proven city winners.
Highlights of the two-year-old section of the catalogue include:
* a half brother to international Group One winner Candy Doll by Murtajill
* a half brother to Caulfield Guineas winner In Top Swing by All Too Hard’s sire Casino Prince
* a Murtajill filly from group winner Kirra Sand
* a half sister to Saturday’s listed Brian Crowley Stakes winner Better Than Ready by Northern Meteor
* a Casino Prince filly from international Group One winner Shine Bridge
Among the proven city winners catalogued in the Patinack Farm draft are Atlanta Falcon, Dassault, From London, Interview, My King Oath, Nevzlin, Start Again and They Won’t Last as well as the stakes placed galloper Shadowofexcellence.

* an unraced three-year-old Casino Prince half brother to group winner Innovation Girl
