Mossman juvenile Buffering sent his earnings soaring over $300,000 when he thumped his rivals in today’s $150,000 QTIS 600 Plate (1100m) at Ipswich.
In winning and delighted favourite punters, Buffering was able to extend his unbeaten run to four.
The Rob Heathcote trained two-year-old is turning out a great advertisement for the success of the Magic Millions QTIS 600 Yearling Sale.
Leading New Zealand based bloodstock agent Paul Willetts purchased Buffering as a yearling for Heathcote for just $22,000 at the inaugural QTIS 600 sale last year.
He was bred and sold at the sale by leading Queensland thoroughbred nursery, Racetree.
In less than six weeks Buffering has gone from unraced, to a four time winner and earner of $319,500.
The exciting unbeaten youngster is the third winner from three to race for his dam, the Sydney winner Action Annie.
A daughter of Anabaa, Action Annie is a half sister to 12 winners including the international stakes performers Instant Strike and Don’t Go Crazy.
Further back it is the same family as outstanding overseas group winners Relaxed Gesture, Martha Stevens, Evolving Tactics, Wait Till Monday and Token Gesture.
Buffering is by Vinery Stud’s leading Success Express sire Mossman – a former top class racehorse who’s now one of the most popular in the land.
It seems only a matter of time before Buffering joins the likes of Our Sweet Moss, Segments, Pure Energy, Stirling Grove, Neeson, Love Conquers All, Mosstang and Prince Braeman as one of his stakes winning progeny.
Mossman is well represented in the upcoming Magic Millions National Sale at the Gold Coast.
He has four youngsters – a colt and three fillies – set to go under the hammer at the National Weanling Sale.
The action will hot up during the National Yearling Sale with 16 lots by Mossman up for grabs.
And 10 lots in the National Broodmare Sale head to the sale after being served by the sire last spring.
PICS – Dan Costello.
