The scene is set for next week’s Magic Millions Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale following a successful breeze up session at the Gold Coast Turf Club this morning. |
Almost 70 two-year-olds breezed at the session and the quickest across the morning was a Tavistock colt, catalogued as Lot 203. The colt, to be offered by Baramul Stud, is the third foal of a six time winning and well related Pins mare and he stopped the clock in 10.68 seconds. A Rubick colt from Symphony Lodge (Lot 173) looked sharp in his breeze, clocking 10.74 seconds. Three other members of the Baramul Stud draft rounded out the day’s top five times – with colts by All Too Hard (Lot 101, 10.75 secs), Pluck (Lot 163, 10.75 secs) and More Than Ready (Lot 184, 10.76 secs). The More Than Ready colt from Group One winner Allez Wonder is a brother to recent stakes winner and tomorrow’s Randwick group runner Kooweerup. All juveniles handled their breeze ups in great style and the efforts were impressive considering they ran into a head wind. To view the breeze up times, video clips and photos and more click here. Tomorrow the Gold Coast Turf Club will host the inaugural Magic Millions sponsored International Raceday to coincide with the 2YOs in Training Sale. The eight races on the Aquis Park card are being sponsored by race clubs across Asia with representatives in town for an action packed few days of races and sales. Day One of the 2019 Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale will commence at 5pm (Qld time) on Monday and continue with Day Two on Tuesday from 11am (Qld time). The Spring Racehorse Sale will follow. |
