Among the yearlings catalogued for 2016 are (at least half) relations to stakes winners including Banca Mo, Braequest, Brakim Lass, Cailin Miss, Grand Tycoon, Jadescent, Lake Sententia, Packing OK, Palentino and Triple Asset.
Some 21 lots in the catalogue are from black type performed mares including stakes winners Abbadena, Coupe, Gehenna, Star Hit and Wavishing.
A highlight of the sale will be the 22 first crop yearlings by Encosta de Lago’s group winning son and Armidale Stud resident Needs Further. Armidale have 27 yearlings catalogued, the same amount as Grenville Stud, the breeders of Caulfield Cup winner Mongolian Khan.
“We’re delighted by the step up in the calibre of yearlings heading to the 2016 Tasmanian Yearling Sale,” Magic Millions’ Tim Brown said. “The sale always presents quality individuals at value prices and this will go to another level in February.”
