Next Wednesday’s $100,000 Magic Millions National Sale Plate (1200m) at the Gold Coast has attracted an outstanding line up of entries.
A number of the country’s leading trainers have entered at least one member of their team in the feature event where the winner will sweep for their connections a cool $60,000.
Top Queensland trainers Gillian Heinrich, Bryan Guy, Alan Bailey, Rex Lipp, Pat Duff and Helen Page are represented as well as their interstate rivals Gai Waterhouse, Paul Messara, Gerald Ryan and Kevin Moses.
A total of 20 entries were received for the 1200 metre feature among them a number of proven young winners and exciting trial performers.
The Trevor Bailey trained Devinardi will start one of the favourites after a string of excellent runs including victory in the $250,000 QTIS 600 Plate at the track in March.
Magic Millions Classic winning trainer Gillian Heinrich has entered a pair of juveniles headed by highly regarded colt General Shareef.
Master Patrick, prepared by Alan Bailey, will have admirers after his last start Ipswich win against older rivals over 1200 metres.
Other last start winners entered for the race include Paris Blu, St Halor, The Barracks and Leica Roller.
Acceptances for the race close at 9.30am (Qld time) on Monday.
