Outstanding National Sale Boosted To 2090 Lots

The 2010 Magic Millions National Sale continues to get and bigger and better with 2090 lots now to be catalogued for the feature Gold Coast thoroughbred auction.

The sale comprising weanlings, mares and breeding stock and yearlings attracted 1889 lots last year.

The sale will commence on May 26 with the first of 10 action packed days of selling through to June 8.

“We have large and quality drafts from all of the leading farms around Australia and the quality across all levels of the sale is outstanding,” Magic Millions Managing Director David Chester said today.

“While the numbers are up for all sections of the sale – the quality is again first class and there is really something for everyone.”

“The catalogues are heading to the printers as we speak and will be available for viewing online soon – they are certainly catalogues we are proud of.”

Chester said the make up of the catalogue was as follows:

  • 640 lots – National Weanling Sale (628 last year)
  • 900 lots – National Broodmare Sale (759 last year)
  • 550 lots – National Yearling Sale (502 last year)
  • 2090 lots in total (1889 last year)

Well over 100 black type performed fillies and mares will highlight the National Broodmare Sale – with plenty of top class producing mares set to go under the hammer.

Plenty of interest will surround the sale of three stakes winning international mares in foal to Darley’s red hot sire sensation Medaglia d’Oro – the sire of Rachel Alexandra.

NATIONAL WEANLING SALE

The best ever and biggest line up weanlings (640 lots) will go under the hammer at the Gold Coast this year.
