Magic Millions graduates passed a significant seasonal milestone yesterday when bargain buy Makin’ a Racquet won at Northam.
The win was the 5,000th in Australia this season for graduates of the country’s most winning thoroughbred sales company.
As well as being the country’s premier supplier of stakes winners, Magic Millions has reaffirmed its position as the race winning leaders around Australia.
Makin’ a Racquet, who cost just $550 at the 2010 Magic Million Perth Thoroughbred Sale, is prepared by Kelly Davis and was ridden to victory by champion WA jockey Paul Harvey.
By the end of Thursday’s meetings around Australia the win tally had reached 5,004.
Along with the 1,143 wins achieved over the same period abroad – the total win count for Magic Millions graduates since August 1 has been a staggering 6,147.
Prizemoney earned on Australian tracks for the season has hit a record $117,886,191 and the season still has a couple more weeks to run.
