Promising Choisir filly Here to Dance notched a milestone for leading Australian sales company Magic Millions when she won at Grafton late this afternoon.
In winning her third race from her past five starts, Here to Dance scored win number 4000 for the season for a Magic Millions graduate in Australia.
A $20,000 purchase from the draft of Racetree at the 2009 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale, Here to Dance is trained by Greg Howells and was ridden to victory by Peter Graham.
Earlier in the day the tally of wins since August 1 was boosted with wins by a group of gallopers including Superb Effort, Cape Spirit, Diatorio, Strata Star, Flashforward, Gracious Babe and Fidakat.
Magic Millions graduates have enjoyed another successful season with winners spread around the country and the 4000 figure does not include the many hundreds notched on overseas tracks.
The average race distance of a Magic Millions win this season has been 1323 metres and the prizemoney won from wins (only) has been over $65.4 million. The average winning age of a winning graduate is 4.3 years.
Here to Dance, by former globetrotter and top sire Choisir, is one of seven winners from the 100 per cent winner producer Here to Eternity.
A lightly raced Bellotto half sister to Breeders Classic winner My Halo Broke, Here to Eternity has also produced the city winners Krayzelburg and Trackball.
Choisir is well represented at the upcoming Magic Millions National Sale. He has 13 lots in the National Weanling Sale – five colts and eight fillies.
He has three colts and three fillies being prepared for the National Yearling Sale – while 11 mares catalogued for the National Broodmare Sale were covered by Choisir last spring.
The 2011 Magic Millions National Sale commences on May 25 with the first session of the National Weanling Sale.
