Dance With Her made it back to back stakes wins in Adelaide on Saturday when she finished too well to win the listed Centaurea Stakes (2005m) at Morphettville.
A winner of the recent Warrnambool Cup at listed level in Victoria, Dance With Her earned a crack at the Brisbane Winter Carnival with an impressive victory.
Prepared by co-trainers David Brideoake and David Feek, Dance With Her was ridden to victory by SA born and bred jockey Dwayne Dunn.
Feek said the Al Maher mare would most likely now head to the Sunshine state for the Brisbane Cup.
“She’s had a great preparation,” Feek said. “She really enjoys her racing and she thrives in her environment.”
“We always had this race in mind with the set weights and penalties it suited.”
“We sprinted her up over 300 metres on Thursday morning and she went well and we knew she would run well here.”
“We’ll take her up to Brisbane,” Feek added. “She deserves her chance in the Brisbane Cup.”
Dwayne Dunn was impressed with the win, and like Feek, said Dance With Her deserved a crack at the Brisbane Cup.
Today’s win continued a golden run this preparation for Dance With Her having won the Golden Mile at Bendigo before winning the Pakenham Cup and her last start win in the Warrnambool Cup.
An Attunga Stud graduate from the 2008 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Dance With Her notched career win 11 this afternoon.
Along with her 11 wins, Dance With Her has placed on 12 other occasions and now earned an impressive prizemoney haul of $555,653.
One of 14 individual stakes winners for Danehill’s Australian Guineas winning son Al Maher, Dance With Her is from the multiple stakes winner Dance Hit.
A seven time winning daughter of Tights, Dance Hit won the York Handicap and Tattersall’s Cup both at listed level in Perth. She was also placed in no fewer than four other stakes events in the WA capital.
Further back hers is the same family as Group One winners Peg’s Pride and Sound Action.
