Magic Millions Sales Pty Limited (MMS) are well underway in the preparations for Rockhampton’s historic Capricornia Yearling Sale, with the new date of Friday 6 May now firmly in place.
In association with the Central Queensland Thoroughbred Breeders Association (CQTBA), and the Rockhampton Jockey Club (RJC), an exciting programme of events have been developed around the sale , including a race-day at Callaghan Park on Thursday 5 May featuring the $123,000 Merlo Downs Stud Capricornia Sales 2YO Classic, and 3YO Championship.
Graduates of the 2011 Magic Millions Capricornia Yearling Sale will be eligible to pay up for the 2012 $5.05 million Magic Millions Race Series, and $180,000 Capricornia Yearling Sale Race Series.
A total of $5,230,000 in prize-money will be on offer to graduates of the Capricornia Yearling Sale, with a range of feature races including the world famous $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic held on the Gold Coast each January.
The catalogue for the sale is currently being distributed and offers 101 QTIS nominated Yearlings from popular Queensland and Australian stallions including: All Bar One, Bradbury’s Luck, Bagger Vance, Clang, Court Command, Dance Hunter, Ferocity, Greenwood Lake, Henny Hughes, Hidden Dragon, Hotel Grand, Sequalo, Shovhog, Snippetson, etc.
BUYER INCENTIVES – $15,000
Kicking off this Saturday 5 March at Thangool, the first of ten $1,500 Buyer Incentive Vouchers for the 2011 Capricornia Yearling Sale, provided by the Central Queensland Thoroughbred Breeders (CQTBA), will be presented to the winning owner of a selected race on the day (specific race to be announced).
